There’s fun to be had over the holidays with the upcoming event, Otacon 2014, coming this November 1, and arkadymac.com is an on official media partner, so expect us to be there to join in the fun and bring you the highlights of this exciting new pop culture convention.  Besides covering the event, expect the special appearance of arkadymac.com’s Cosplay Models, Mina Kim, Ai Chi, Jillian, Queenie and Deric.

Otacon is an event that celebrates the many fun aspects of popular culture: anime, gaming, manga, comics, among many others.  Special attractions include our friends at Talking Apples Maid & Butler Cafe, who’ll be there to serve delightful treats to attendees.  Ninja Academy PH will have attractions as well.  The registration and ticket  is inclusive of entrance to Talking Apples Maid & Butler Cafe and Ninja Academy.

 

There won’t be any idle moment as all throughout the event there will be an exciting lineup of live performances by guest J-Pop/J-Rock inspired bands and dance groups,like our friends from Asterysk, Ikuzo Iwa, Borealis and SGR 48.

There are a number of contest featured in the event.  Anyone may join multiple contests but they can win in one contest only and everyone is encouraged to do the online pre-registration for:

COSPLAY – open for all (individual or group), no particular character needed for each winning title, can choose characters from any anime, game and comic titles (series or movie)

ACE OF COSPLAY – choose a Witch/Sorcerer/Wizard/Mage character from any anime, game, comics or Disney series/movies and win special prizes

SINGING – open for all, can choose songs/OST from any anime, game or Japanese (series or movie) titles

ARTWORK – open for all, choose to draw/illustrate/paint or sketch characters or landscape/scene from any anime, game or comic titles.
