After the success of their first event last year with thousands of Japanese pop culture enthusiasts from all over gathering at the SMX Convention Center, Otaku Asia Anime Magazine brings O-kun Fiesta 2, with the Japanese lantern festival as its theme.  This year they promise to have even more tutorials, panel discussions, magazine signings and contests in order to emulate the magazine’s contents into a two-day fun-filled event happening on June 4-5, 2016 at Function Room 1 of the SMX Convention Center.  arkadymac.com is an official media partner, so we hope to see you there as we do our coverage of both days.

O-kun Fiesta 2 will just might be the community’s last chance for summer fun before classes start.  Now held for two whole consecutive exciting days, O-kun Fiesta 2 Otaku Asia’s way to reach out to their readers and give something back for their support with a fun, informative and interactive fiesta of activities.  Ticket price is at P150 sold on site and on Eventbrite (http://okunfiesta.otakuasia.com/ticketing/ ). PSICOM Publishing Inc. is holding a pre-selling offer for only P120 at their office until May 30.

Slated for O-Kun Fiesta 2 will be a stage program which includes a series of lectures, demonstrations and tutorials that are related to being an otaku.  The event features the Cosplay Parade, which is O-kun Fiesta’s open competition with the goal of showcasing cosplay character portrayal. Embracing cosplayers of all gender, sizes, experience and skill levels, contestants will be judged based on their impersonation of their character. Also announced is their Toy Photography Contest (http://okunfiesta.otakuasia.com/blog-post/point-shoot-win-the-toyphotography-contest/) in partnership with Hubbyte Toy Store and with special participation of internationally acclaimed toy photographer, Kixkillradio. While off-stage, guests can participate in the magazine signing, tanzaku wall and event photobooth set up by Moonstruck Creatives.  Event announcements will be posted on their FB event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1555308854786978/) and their event website (http://okunfiesta.otakuasia.com/).   There will also be an Artist Alley where a selected list of artists will be exhibiting their various artworks.  And in case of costume malfunction, the Cosplay Medics will be there to help with any cosplay problems you may encounter during the event.
