Animax Bloggers’ Night: Hanami!

Our good friends at Animax got to hold a special evening for us bloggers to keep us updated on the new and exciting things the leading anime cable channel has in store for their audience for the next couple of weeks.  The were fun games, lots of nice food and great updates regarding the amazing lineup of current and upcoming shows on Animax.

Held at plush yet cozy Haru Sushi Bar & Restaurant in Kapitolyo, Pasig, the organizers got to choose Hanami as the theme for this unique gathering, after the cherry blossom festival that has been the long-standing Japanese tradition of welcoming spring.

Bloggers and other members of the media were invited to get to know the exciting things Animax has in store for their viewers for the coming months.  This June, the well-know anime cable channel is scheduled to premiere Hand Shakers, Servamp and Terra Formars: Revenge, all are well-received series in Japan.  Also of interest are marathons for the first season of Assassination Classroom.  They also announced that they would be airing Brave Witches and  Urara Meirochou, Animax Musix 2016 Yokohama and Animax Musix 2017 Osaka very soon.

Part of the evening was a delectable dinner of traditional and authentic Japanese dishes prepared by the amazing staff at Haru Sushi Bar, which the bloggers particularly enjoyed.

A welcome treat was the colorful Hanami dango, which is one of the traditional food served during the season, and a treat our Correspondent Ai Chi got to enjoy.

Later on in the evening, a game that challenged the bloggers’ knowledge of anime, Animax and Japanese trivia had the participants excited and engaged as groups were locked in fierce but friendly competition.  In the end, the arkadymac.com team of Xtian, Jillian and Ai Chi with Anime PH Project’s Rayan and Reimaru File’s Chad got to win first place and got some great gifts from Animax.

Many thanks to Animax for inviting us to this wonderful evening of all things anime at Bloggers’ Night: Hanami! and for sharing with us the great new shows they will be airing for all of us anime lovers in the Philippines.

Special thanks as well to the folks at  Haru Sushi Bar & Restaurant for the amazing food and impeccable service.  We will definitely be back to try more of your authentic Japanese cuisine and enjoy the great ambiance.
