Come one, come all as Cosplay Carnival is back in town for its second straight year. Lots of activities, merchandise, contests, and special guests like Haoge and Alodia Gosiengfiao, were there for everyone to see. This activity-filled event’s first day was held at SMX Convention Center, Function Room 5 last March 25.
Setting a record last year for being the biggest nationwide series of cosplay competitions ever with 12 legs all over the country and giving away more than 20,000 pesos in cash each leg, Cosplay Craze comes back even bigger and better than before, with even bigger cash prizes and more attractions in store for everyone. Just imagine, at every event, the cosplayer in 3rd Place receiving P8,000 cash, 2nd Place winning P15,000 cash and the grand prize winner taking home a staggering P30,000 cash and securing a slot in the Cosplay Mania Cup 2017, may just give you an idea how huge Cosplay Craze 2.0 will be.
Start off this summer with a cool event this coming weekend as Otaku Connection presents TOMODACHI NO WA (Circle of Friends), a Japanese School Fandom Event, Day 1-March 31 2017 (Friday) and Day 2-April 1 2017 (Saturday), from 11AM onwards at the
Event Center, 2nd Floor of Starmall Edsa-Shaw, Mandaluyong City. For only 80 pesos as an admission fee, get to enjoy a lot of fun activities throughout the day with friends and fellow Japanese pop culture enthusiasts.
It’s already March and very soon the carnival will be in town—Cosplay Carnival! The event features some of last year’s favorites mixed in with some new additions, and with international cosplayer Haoge joining the festivities for an affair you should not miss.
Experience how your favorite game comes to life as Hourglass presents Magenta: A Mystic Messenger event + Cafe this Sunday, March 5, at Warehouse Eight in Makati. Fans of the game will be sure to enjoy the attractions at this interactive cafe set on White Day, with their specially invited butlers portraying the endearing characters from the game and serving MCs to their hearts’ content. The event will also showcase a wide variety of booths and exhibitors offering some of the best Mystic Messenger merchandise and art in the metro.
Annually there would be a group of cosplayers who’ll hold a photoshoot to start the year, where in it can be in groups or individually. They cater to all cosplayers whether they cosplay from a game, an anime, visual kei, or jrock artists who they love or photographers who would love to take wonderful shots of the cosplayers. Early this year, AniZone has started their annual photoshoot, In The Zone 2: Bringing to Life.
