The student government of Romarinda International School invited the arkadymac.com team to cover their first ever “Spooky Friday” and judge their Cosplay & Halloween Costume Contest. We greatly admire schools that support the interests of their students. There to help us with the event is our very first correspondent Steph.

NexCon 3 is the ultimate celebration of science fiction and fantasy fandom in the Philippines, and it happens this weekend, April 2 and 3, 2015, at Function Room 5 of the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia.
Beyond the intricate helmets and armor and gaudy outfits, costumers and cosplayers wish to bring their unique talents and skills to bring happiness to the ones who need it the most. More than just a hobby they are passionate about, they have sought to make a difference in society as they banded together with altruistic groups to bring an early Christmas to the children confined at the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City.
As the latest of a long-running series of events of unprecedented scope, Outbreak Manila: Arca South once again gave fitness and zombie enthusiasts and everyone in between an exhilarating, scream-filled experience last weekend. Filipinos have long been fascinated with zombies and the many stories and media around them and have long wished to have an experience in what it would be like if there was a zombie apocalypse in the Philippines. Outbreak Manila: Arca South gave them that in spades as screams were heard everywhere from the afternoon all the way into the evening.
“I love serious and mysterious types,” Rochelle tells us, referring to the characters she chooses to portray through cosplay. She has only been cosplaying for roughly two years, but she has come to love it wholeheartedly. We of course admire that attitude, which was why we have decided to invite her for the website.
