Free Japanese Film Screenings during the 2nd ASEAN – Japan TV Festival

 

 

The Japan Foundation, Manila and The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines are pleased to announce Free Japanese Film Screenings at Cinema 5 of Trinoma Mall from September 7 to 10, 2017.  This event coincides with the 2nd ASEAN – Japan TV Festival 2017 (AJTVF2) to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN.

Upcoming Event: Wonder Woman Special Screening at Trinoma Cinema 1

 

Enjoy the hottest new superhero movie of the season while helping out for a good cause with a Special Block Screening of Wonder Woman on June 1, 2017 at Trinoma Cinema 1, 7:30 pm.  The screening will be a fundraiser for indigent women’s livelihood, children’s feeding and gifting charity events for several beneficiaries.  Tickets are priced at 500 pesos each and come with free food and drinks, freebies and giveaways, plus the chance to win at an extravagant raffle where rare Wonder Woman items and memorabilia await. Eigasai is a remarkable festival which showcases some of the best films from Japan offered for viewing to Filipino audiences for free, and on its 19th year, it kicked off in grand fashion at the Grand Atrium of Shangri-la Plaza last week.  The opening night was well attended by dignitaries, guests and the media, who got to witness esteemed director Masato Harada address the Filipino audience about film making and insights on the festival’s opening movie, Kakekomi.

Those among us who love Japanese culture and arts will have much to be happy and thankful for as Eigasai 2016 will once again offer FREE movie screenings of highly acclaimed Japanese films from July 7 to August 21 at more locations around the country.  The film festival’s main organizer, the Japan Foundation, Manila, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, has promised a great lineup of quality films along with Director Talks in commemoration of 60 Years of Philippines-Japan Friendship and JFM’s 20th Anniversary.

Our arkadymac.com team got to cover a special block screening of the much-anticipated movie Captain America: Civil War, which opened worlwide on April 27.  We were particularly interested as our cosplayer friends Fred, Daphne, Izabel, MK, Myk and Veni were there to help promote the event.  There was a festive atmosphere that evening at the lobby of Cinema 1 in Trinoma moviegoers and fans celebrated their love for superheroes.

After a successful film showing of the first part last August 14, 2015, student organization Tomo-Kai from UP Diliman gave ardent Shingeki no Kyojin followers the chance to see its exciting conclusion at the ATTACK ON TITAN: End of the World Block Screening at TriNoMa Cinema 1.  There has been lots of excitement and anticipation for the film adaptation of the wildly popular Japanese manga and anime series Shingeki no Kyojin, and local fans got to celebrate as the first part finally got screened in Philippine theaters August, then the much-awaited conclusion last September.

Pioneer Films and Magic 89.9 bring the final installment of the two-part live action movie adaptation of wildly popular Japanese manga and anime series Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) to Philippine cinemas, with an advance screening yesterday, September 21, 2015 at SM Megamall Cinema 2.

 

The Philippine opening day will be on September 23, Wednesday, so don’t miss the chance to see Part 2 of this epic live action movie at select cinemas nationwide.

 

TIP: There is a scene after the end credits that may be vital to the story.

Student organization Tomo-Kai from UP Diliman gave Shingeki no Kyojin fans something to be happy about as they got to organize a special block screening of the Attack on Titan live action movie last weekend on its opening week.  There has been much excitement and anticipation for the film adaptation of the wildly popular Japanese manga and anime series Shingeki no Kyojin, and local fans got to celebrate as it finally got screened in Philippine theaters starting August 12.
