Otaku Asia Magazine has been one of the leading printed publications for the Filipinos who are fans of anime and the Japanese culture, and they have been very supportive of the local cosplay community, even more so with their feature Extreme Moments 5 out-of-town cosplay photoshoot held in the historic island of Corregidor late last year. Their Issue#37 will be the first of the year, and it will be showcasing the great work of some of the most talented cosplayers and photographers in the country.
One of the biggest cosplay projects ever assembled in the country had come to its 5th and what could be final installment. The Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series started over a year ago, and from its audacious start at Capones Island it has since spanned some of the most beautiful locations in the Philippines, and it has made what would most likely be its final stop at historic Corregidor. After months of extensive and careful preparations, TeamXM, the organizers behind the Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series, got to pull off another amazing feat with Extreme Moments 5, “The Final Wrath,” where 88 talented cosplayers, photographers and their supporters went on a cosplay adventure of a lifetime to the fortified island south of Manila Bay. arkadymac.com was there as the media team to have covered all five installments of the series.

Historic University of Santo Tomas became the scenic setting for UST Photoshoot for a Cause: Larawan Tulong sa Pamarawan, as cosplayers, photographers, and enthusiasts show that they are always eager to lend a helping hand. A good number of them got to take part in the event, and more importantly, got to give back to the broader community they belong to. arkadymac.com is the official media partner of the event and we are happy to being you the highlights from last weekend.
Every one of us at arkadymac.com is grateful to all the people who have supported us through the years, which was why we really wanted to have a small party where we could gather everyone and have some fun with each other’s company. Despite the shortage of time and resources, we still got to have our little wish as our friends and sponsors joined us at arkadymac.com’s 3rd Anniversary Party held last weekend at 121 Grill and Restaurant in Makati.
We had the unexpected but nevertheless fortunate opportunity to meet some of our really great cosplayer friends while covering an unrelated event early this year. They tell us that they just got to know of each other online and had decided to meet up and probably have a shoot together. They have become prominent cosplayers of characters from the wildly popular Japanese webcomic, manga and anime One Punch-Man, and they have had much fun portraying some of their quirky but memorable cast.
After our coverage of the Cool Japan 2015 event with our team, we whisked our Cosplay Model and Correspondent Ami for a quick photoshoot. All of us have been covering so many conventions, with Ami reporting for the biggest cosplay events for us, that her own feature for the website had been long overdue.
