The biggest anime and otaku event of the summer thrilled enthusiasts from all over on its second straight day at the SMX Convention Center. Following the huge success of prominent Japanese band FLOW’s concert the previous day, Ozine Fest 2016 continued to draw attendees from all over with guest international cosplayers Miu, Luffy, Siutao and Eli and illustrator DMYO headlining the event that has again proven to be the biggest Japanese pop culture event of the summer.
arkadymac.com is an official media partner for Ozine Fest 2016, and we had our correspondents and cosplay models Vanessa, Irene, Czyrah and Nicolette help us cover cover the second exciting day of the event.
There were lots to see and experience nonstop all throughout the day as Ozine again drew thousands of attendees, enthusiasts, cosplayers and the curious from all over. With guest international cosplayers Miu, Luffy, Siutao and Eli and illustrator DMYO headlining the event, fans eagerly lined up to meet their idols up close and have their merchandise signed for lots of great memories with them.
There were lots of engaging stage activities too, like trivia contests, battle of the bands, the anime karaoke contest, and band performances from some of the best in the community.
The highlight of the day was the cosplay competition where over 50 contestants battled it out for great prizes in their amazing costumes and amusing performances.
We were there for the cosplayers of course, and all throughout the day we saw lots of them all around the venue, having their photos taken by attendees, and taking photos among themselves, all while having fun with their shared passion and hobby.
OZine Fest 2016 Day 2 closed with the awarding of winners from the different contests, all deserving to be given recognition for their effort that day, taking home some wonderful prizes.
And with that an entire weekend of fun, music, art and excitement came to a close, with everyone having great memories from the biggest Japanese pop culture event of the summer.
