My Top Ten Anime Series of All Time

People ask me why I am so fascinated with anime.  Well, actually they don’t ask.  They just avoid me.  Not that I care.  I have little tolerance for small-minded people anyway.

Just one simple reason: imagination.  It’s really astonishing how the Japanese come up with all these ideas.  Japanese writers both amateur and professional create hundreds of anime and comic book titles each year, with themes and topics as diverse and as numerous as there are stars in the sky.  Not even the US can match this kind of production.  This has allowed a diversity in theme and genre unmatched anywhere else.  It is the sheer diversity of imagination that has drawn me to favoring anime as a medium of interest.  I may not be the best anime scholar out there, but after watching 300+ titles, I have come to appreciate the uniqueness of this medium and have set out to make other people have a better impression and appreciation of this art form.

Below are what I consider to be the top ten anime series I have ever watched.  Keep in mind that while I have watched 300+ titles, I still have at least 1,600 more to go.  Again, these are MY top ten.  If you come to hate me for it and bother me over the Net about it, do me a favor and make your own top ten list.  Why else do you think I bought my own domain name for $10? Because I didn’t agree with anyone else’s.  Simple, right?
