Happy New Year, everyone! Now on its fifth month of continued existence, this blog brings to you a New Year cosplay coverage of epic proportions. Since the Christmas Cosplay Coverage in Bulacan (see previous posts) was such a smashing success (as there were only few isolated eyewitness accounts of a crazy person in a strange cat costume trying to mutilate cattle sex organs), the entire field staff (all two of them) of Xtian Mack: Journey to the Obnoxious, Overrated and Obscene decided to do it again, just with a new camera and different props. Since we were also feeling holiday-ey. we incorporated fireworks into the shoot. We were in Bulacan, fireworks capital of the Philippines, after all. Despite the many hazards of using pyrotechnics, like burning hair, costumes or wigs, or worse, an immolating cosplayer, we went through with it just to bring you something refreshingly different for the holidays. That and we really can’t think of anything original.
Also, please do not try these stunts at home or at school, unless you’re a WWE wrestler. Sure we’re just constantly goofing off and wasting blog space, but we’re pros at this because we’ve done it many times before ever since my brother got a camera. Leave the danger to us. We can’t have it any other way.
Photos courtesy of my talented brother Buraimaku, a tensai with the camera. Enjoy!
Catch you again next time. May we all have a great, crazy year ahead.
