Ever eager to bring you the hottest cosplay events and developments in Manila and beyond, all the senior field staff of this site (all two of them), were sent to cover the Otaku Urule Invitational Photoshoot and Cosplay Marathon at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife in Quezon City. But frankly, they just went there to cosplay without any regard of anyone and anything else. Well, let’s just be grateful they came back with enough material for a post. And what do you know; here it is.
There were lots of amazing photographers on hand to take pictures of the more than a hundred cosplayers who showed up for the event. Groups of photographers and cosplayers were paired up for photoshoots all around the delightful locations inside the park. Although originally intended to be just that, a photoshoot, the organizers at Otaku Urule, happy at the large turnout, announced a contest involving the best cosplayers, photos, photographers, and other categories, with the winners to be announced at a later date.
Everyone was told to have fun and everyone seemed to be in a light and friendly mood despite the problems of being outdoors for a change, like the heat, sunlight and fatigue from walking around. All in all an enjoyable event with everyone benefitting from the experience. Kudos to Otaku Urule for a great event and may they have more events like this.
