The long wait was over but the excitement had just begun as AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015 finally opened its doors to the public for the first time last Friday. Spanning the entire floor area of the World Trade Center, APCC will be one of the biggest pop culture events the country has seen, with an impressive lineup of guests and unique attractions from around the world for attendees to enjoy.
arkadymac.com is an official online media partner for AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015, and we are glad to bring you the scenes and highlights of the event. With us covering the event was our latest member Czyrah who helped us take photos as she enjoyed the sights and sounds of APCC as well.
Inside the venue there were booths to explore and attractions to enjoy, as we have covered during industry day, Day 0, with our coverage here. Day 1 was mostly about the amazing guests that have come in from all over the world to take part in the festivities of APCC. The guests were at their desks, greeting the attendees with smiles, having interesting and engaging conversations with them, signing the programmes and showing off some merch.
When not scheduled at their desks, the guests were free to enjoy the event like everyone else, and it was a refreshing sight seeing these celebrities mingling and having fun with everyone. It meant lots of smiles, giggles, stories, handshakes, and photos of course.
At the stage, great films were screened all day.
We were there for the cosplayers, of course, and we enjoyed having shoots with them. They told us they enjoyed being at APCC. There was lots of room to do shoots and frolic, the staff was courteous and nice, and there were lots of people to see and meet.
The human foosball was a hit too, especially with the cosplayers.
