Otaku Expo Reload 2016 has always been a favorite among cosplayers and congoers as the year starts winding down, and headlining the event were a pair of prominent international cosplayers who have flown to Manila to join in the festivities and meet their ardent Filipino fans and fellow cosplayers. Tsubasa from Hong Kong and Misaki from Thailand had a number of meet and greet sessions over the two-day affair, something they and their fans got to enjoy. And all around the venue, on and off the stage, various attractions, contests, and performances kept attendees busy and excited all throughout.
Tsubasa was cosplaying Subara Natsuki of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu while Misaki got to cosplay Kotori Minami of Love Live, Little Devil Version, on Day 2. Tsubasa and Misaki got to be presented on stage and they got to address the Otaku Expo Reload 2016 audience who were eager and excited to see them. A lot of fans lined up to see these extraordinary cosplayers them up close at several meet and greet sessions throughout the two-day event. The best part of the experience for the fans was of course the chance to have a photo with their cosplay idols. They got to take home great memories of them at Otaku Expo Reload 2016.
On stage, various contests like Battle of the Bands, Anime Karaoke, trivia games and eating contests kept the attendees excited all throughout the day.
Sponsors like AsiaPop Comic Con Manila 2016, also had their respective segments where they got to give away some really nice prizes to the audience like free tickets to their event.
Cospray Cosplay Hair Spray featured our Cosplay Model Ashley Misaki as their Brand Endorser, and had a performance on stage with dance group iDolls.
Great bands like Sanctuary Ship, Moonspeak and Asterysk got to rock on stage performing covers of well-loved Japanese songs and had the audience grooving and singing along with them.
The cosplay competition was one of the highlights of Day 2, and a lot of cosplayers got to perform on stage, wowing the crowd with their amazing costumes and amusing performances.
Various booths like Cosmic Bytes Cosplay Shop and Perry in Disguise were at the venue offering a lot of rare merchandise that congoers can’t get enough of.
Of course we were there for the cosplayers who were in abundance supporting Otaku Expo Reload 2016, and we got to have some shots of them as they have fun with the attendees and with each other. Among them were our Cosplay Models Nicki and Nicolette who helped us out with our coverage.
Otaku Expo Reload 2016 came to a close with the awarding ceremony for the many winners for all the contests that day as they go home with some really nice prizes from the organizers and the sponsors.
