We were in for a pleasant surprise as arkadymac.com went out-of-town down South for a colorful and enjoyable art and Japanese pop culture experience as Arts and Anime Festival 2019: Kick Off took off at PUP. Sto Tomas Campus in Batangas. Organized by the Otaku Guild, it was a phenomenal celebration of art and Japanese pop culture from students of the university and beyond.
arkadymac.com has been Arts and Anime Festival’s media partner for their past three events, and we of course would not pass up the opportunity to cover their festival again, and this time around they have invited our website’s Cosplay Model Candy as a guest and judge.
Art, anime and cosplay enthusiasts had reasons to smile as the event featured booths all over the venue that sold wonderful anime and art as well as various Jpop-themed merchandise.
There was something for everyone as Arts and Anime Festival 2019 featured fun games, an anime singing contest, an art contest, eating contests, band performances, as well as many other attractions and features in store for the many participants and attendees.
The highlight of the event was the Cosplay Competition where wonderful cosplayers from all over vied for honors and recognition with performances. The judges included Andrea Din, Carian Cruz, Francis Gellang, and our Cosplay Model Candy.
The event concluded with the recognition of guests and sponsors as well as the awarding of winners of the various contests held throughout the day with some really amazing prizes from Otaku Guild and their sponsors.
Many thanks to everyone at Otaku Guild for accommodating our team and congratulations for organizing a wonderful event that students of the university and guests got to enjoy and take part in. Hope to see you all again in the future.
Thank you for dropping by, and do visit us again for more features here at arkadymac.com.
