Otaku Asia Magazine Features Extreme Moments 5 Cosplay Shoot

 

Otaku Asia Magazine  has been one of the leading printed publications for the Filipinos who are fans of anime and the Japanese culture, and they have been very supportive of the local cosplay community, even more so with their feature Extreme Moments 5 out-of-town cosplay photoshoot held in the historic island of Corregidor late last year.  Their Issue#37 will be the first of the year, and it will be showcasing the great work of some of the most talented cosplayers and photographers in the country.

One of the biggest cosplay projects ever assembled in the country had come to its 5th and what could be final installment. The Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series started over a year ago, and from its audacious start at Capones Island it has since spanned some of the most beautiful locations in the Philippines, and it has made what would most likely be its final stop at historic Corregidor.  After months of extensive and careful preparations, TeamXM, the organizers behind the Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series, got to pull off another amazing feat with Extreme Moments 5, “The Final Wrath,” where 88 talented cosplayers, photographers and their supporters went on a cosplay adventure of a lifetime to the fortified island south of Manila Bay. arkadymac.com was there as the media team to have covered all five installments of the series.

The cosplay odyssey that started a year ago and spanned some of the most beautiful locations in the Philippines will be making its fifth and final stop at historic Corregidor.  After months of extensive and careful preparations, TeamXM, the organizers behind the Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series, have just announced that Extreme Moments 5: The Final Wrath will heading to the fortified island south of Manila Bay this November.

A total of 61 intrepid souls sailed off to distant Fortune Island off the coast of Batangas for one of the most ambitious collaborative efforts the Philippine cosplay community has ever seen. Extreme Moments: Castaways pushed the limits of creativity, skill and imagination of cosplayers and photographers alike in an out-of-town outdoor adventure of a lifetime.

After two wildly successful adventures in scenic Capones Island and Mount Samat this year, the Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series continues to take Philippine cosplay and photography to the next level, being the first cosplay group to be granted the privilege to shoot at  Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, an open-air museum and heritage park in Bagac, Bataan.  Set in a rustic locale of restored historic mansions and surrounded by mountains, forests and the sea, Extreme Moments 3, with its 60 intrepid participants, provided all the elements for a cosplay experience like no other.

Excitement and high expectations have been going around the community as the third edition of successful Extreme Moments Out-of-Town Cosplay Project Series has been announced. Filling entire buses of cosplayers and photographers for fun and amazing shoots in distant but spectacular locations outside the city, having shot at Capones Island in Zambales (click for our coverage of Day 1 and Day 2) and at Mt. Samat in Bataan (our coverage can be found here) for the first two editions both earlier this year, Extreme Moments has become a highly anticipated event for the community for its efforts to provide a refreshingly unique experience far different from the usual conventions people have gotten used to.
