Myrtle and Erica at Press Con for Hero Face Off at the Best of Anime/BOA Event
arkadymac.com brings you the action from yesterday’s press conference for the Hero Face Off at Best of Anime Event. Held at around noon at Resto 9501, ABS-CBN 14th floor, we had the opportunity to have and interview with guest judge and cosplayer and PBB Big Winner, Myrtle Sarrosa, and one of last year’s Hero Face Off winners Erica Garbin.
With me were the correspondents from the local otaku media in a collaborative effort to bring the best of the event to the otaku community. Also present at the press conference were Hero TV Channel Head Jojo Neri-Estacio and Primetrade Asia President Irene Lloren who were gracious in answering the many questions we had to offer about the upcoming Hero Face Off 2014 during The Best of Anime (BOA) event this September.
A collaboration of epic proportions is coming this September as Hero TV and Primetrade Asia, Inc. present the rise of the cosplay empire with the Hero Face Off 2014 during the launch of The Best of Anime (BOA) this September.
The Hero Face Off, happening on September 21, is now on its 5th year of showcasing the best of cosplay in the Philippines. The event will be celebrating the distinct Pinoy creativity as embodied in the year’s ultimate cosplay battle. This will all be happening in the midst of BOA 2014, which continues to bring the culture, art, and fun entertainment of Japan to the Philippines on September 20 to 21 at Function Rooms 3 and 4 of the SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
The Hero Face Off competition this year will be divided into three categories: The Kids Squad category, League of Heroes category, and the Face Off category. Also particularly new for this year’s competition is that the Hero Face Off is now open to Filipino characters.
Among the judges for the Hero Face Off this year will be Pinoy Big Brother grand winner and Hero TV Anime Jock Myrtle Sarrosa, Hero TV Channel Head Jojo Neri-Estacio, Primetrade Asia President Irene Lloren, and Hero Face Off 2013 winner Erica Garbin. Meanwhile, My Hero Nation’s Kakki Teodoro and Mikoy Morales are set to host the said event.
