Cosplay Sweetheart Ashley Misaki celebrated her 7th birthday in style with family and friends and the local cosplay community at the Valle Verde 5 Clubhouse in Ortigas. Anyone who has attended a cosplay event or two will surely recognize Ashley, a bright and talented little lady who has made an impact in the cosplay scene, winning award after award before she has even turned 7 years old, which was probably why a grand cosplay party was the only event fitting for such an occasion.
The party was complete with great food, loud music, exciting games and a fabulous program with wonderful things in sevens: seven candles, seven roses, seven wishes, even seven shoes and seven anime, all filled in by the people close to Ashley’s heart. Guest were also treated to delightful song and dance numbers by the chibis, the kiddie cosplayers, who have worked hard rehearsing for them weeks in advance. There was also the cosplay contest where around 30 participants competed for huge prizes. From among the many amazing cosplays on display before an eager audience, one particular contestant emerged victorious. Christian Umali was voted first place for his amazing performance as Marvel Comics’ War Machine.
As the party drew to a close, Ashley and her proud, loving parents thanked the guests for their time and effort in making the event a huge success and wished for more great things to come. Then came time to depart with everyone happy with the goodies and memories from the party. And although she may not even be fully aware of it yet, Ashley is indeed blessed to have such overwhelming love and support from her family, friends, and the local cosplay community.
