The fun and enjoyment continued to roll as Cosplay Carnival 2018 welcomed hundreds of attendees on its second day at Function Room 5 of the SMX Convention Center. With lots of games, contests, special guests and surprises in store for everyone, Cosplay Carnival 2018 was certainly the talk of the town, with attendees coming in droves. arkadymac.com has been Cosplay Carnival’s media partner for three years now, and we bring you the highlights from our coverage.
Already on its third year, Cosplay Carnival has been bringing fun and excitement to town early into the year being the first event in the Cosplay Mania series by Cosplay.ph, which has added significance this year as Cosplay Mania celebrates its tenth anniversary.
This year the carnival is more festive and a lot more lively. Attendees got to experience exciting contests on stage: The Mogu Mogu drinking and dancing contest and Yoshinoya eating contest enlivened the crowd on both days. Cosplay Group Dance Battle and Cosplay Karaoke Mainstream Edition and Just Duet were particularly fun and engaging. There were also four game booths within the venue for that fun carnival feel, like the ring toss, basket-pong, dart parade, and target shooting. Players were allowed to try as many times as you want until you win the game. Collect 4 stamps and you get to claim a prize!
As if those weren’t enough, Singapore’s talented cosplayer Rithe was this year’s special guest cosplayer, and came to the Philippines for the first time for meet and greet and autograph sessions with her avid fans, as well as an interview on stage.
The exciting second day of Cosplay Carnival 2018 ended with the awarding ceremonies, where winners from the various contests throughout the day were recognized and given their well-deserved prizes on stage.
