The long wait was over but the excitement had just begun as AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016 finally opened its doors to the public for the first time last Friday. Spanning the entire SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia Complex, APCC 2016 will definitely be the biggest pop culture event the country has seen, with an impressive lineup of guests and unique attractions from around the world for attendees to enjoy.
Extraordinary artists gathered from all over the world got to show what exciting things are in store for fans of pop culture this weekend as AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016 held its press conference at the luxurious 5-star Hilton Conrad Hotel at the Mall of Asia Complex last Wednesday (our coverage can be found here), and on APCC’s first day, some of them were at their booths, like Simone Legno of Tokidoki, greeting the attendees with smiles, having interesting and engaging conversations with them, signing the programmes and showing off some of their work or merchandise.
And everywhere around the huge venue, lots of booths and attractions from sponsors and merchants will keep everyone happily preoccupied with the amazing breadth of content and interests covered.
We were there for the cosplayers, of course, and we enjoyed having shoots with them. They told us they enjoyed being at APCC. There was lots of room to do shoots and frolic, the staff was courteous and nice, and there were lots of people to see and meet.
With these and more, AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016 is indeed shaping up to be one of the biggest pop culture events in the Philippines to date, so do drop by to see all these attractions plus many celebrity guests all in one fun, action-filled weekend.
