News of the return of wildly popular first person shooter Special Force was confirmed yesterday as Playpark Inc., the Philippines’ leading game publisher, held a special press conference at their main office in Makati announcing that Special Force will go on Closed Beta Test in Southeast Asia on November 24, 2016. They also promised that the exciting gameplay and engaging graphics of Special Force will once again be a common sight in internet cafes and homes all over the region.
It has only been a couple of weeks ago since Playpark Inc., the Philippines’ leading game publisher, took to the stage at the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) to give fans their firsts taste of credible news of the comeback of Special Forces. At the press conference held at the Playpark office in Makati, the publisher’s key people guided the media on the exciting developments leading to the return of SF.
They have announced that Special Force Online will be made readily available across Southeast Asia. Playpark anticipates many old and new players to try the game right away, and they will be taking steps to ensure that the servers will be able to handle the influx of players and to make sure players will have a smooth and enjoyable experience playing SF. And marking the return of SF will be a series of tournaments: the Special Force Launch Party and the Pro-League Kick-Off which will be heading to different locations all over the country.
Playpark and SF ensure fans that there will be loads to look forward to come 2017. SF Philippines Championship – Road to Special Force World Championship (SFWC) – is slated to join Playpark’s early summer tournament series – the All Stars. Never a dull moment in this battlefield, leagues will also be set all year round starting 2017 to keep both rookies and pros on their toes. And to show that they really mean business, Playpark invited the media to try out the game for themselves and even put together a tournament with prizes at stake. It took some time for the participants to get used to the controls and get their bearings again, but it was evident that they were enjoying the game as they went head-to-head with their peers amidst laughs, giggles, taunts and humorous commentary.
All in all, the media was excited to see and play Special Force again and expect that old and new players will be enjoying the game again very soon. Helping us cover the event was our Editor-in-Chief Jillian Rose, and many thanks to all the folks at Playpark for accommodating our team and letting us have a peek at the many exciting thing coming up very soon.
