Netflix is returning to AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2018, the region’s biggest pop-culture convention with fan-engaging panels and immersive booth experience, with no less than Hollywood actor Mike Colter—best known for his role as Luke Cage aka Power Man—leading the powerful lineup of guests and activities.

Slated on July 27 to 29 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, the #NetflixAPCC experience will be inspired by and designed especially for the Filipino fans; with bigger experiences, surprise guests, a sneak peek at what’s coming to Netflix, and special screenings just for fans attending this year’s convention.  Sure to become a fandom scream-fest is the super-powered panels at Hall N, an exclusive Netflix content showcase.

Marvel’s Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker joins lead Mike Colter (Luke Cage in Marvel’s Luke Cage) and this season’s villain Mustafa Shakir (Bushmaster in Marvel’s Luke Cage) to answer fan’s burning questions from season two.

Joining the exciting Netflix panel is one of AsiaPOP Comicon Manila’s celebrity headliners, Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand/Iron Fist on Marvel’s Iron Fist; alongside showrunner Raven Metzner (Sleepy Hollow, Falling Skies) to tease season two of the fan favorite.

Colter and Jones will grace the convention together with Tye Sheridan, the ambitious Gunter Wade Watts from Steven Spielberg’s Hollywood box-office blockbuster, Ready Player One.

An APCC Manila 2018 celebrity headliner, Tye Sheridan, best known for playing lead mutant Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse, made his film debut in the critically-acclaimed The Tree of Life, and has also starred in drama films such as Mud, Joe, and The Stanford Prison Experiment. Sheridan will reprise his role as Cyclops on the next X-Men  movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is set to be released later this year.

Netflix Loves Anime

Great news for anime fans! #NetflixAPCC will go behind the scenes with the creators of Castlevania, led by executive producer Adi Shankar; and Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters with TOHO producer Takashi Yoshizawa, giving fans the rare opportunity to learn how these series come to life. Watch out for the surprise guest, to boot.

Completing the Netflix experience is its Destination Fun, a can’t-miss immersive experience that awaits Filipino fans. Designed meant for social engagement, the much-raved about Netflix booth returns allowing fans to rally their barkadas and walk through life-sized replicas of sets from fan-favorite shows like Marvel’s Iron Fist, Riverdale, Stranger Things, and to score collectible swag and meet some of the stars from their favorite shows.

For the first-time ever in Asia, Hall N was introduced at APCC Manila in 2017 to an overwhelming success with the fans thronging to the unique booth. Hall N and #Netflixexperience are expected to be once again one of the major highlights of APCC Manila 2018.
