Ateneo de Manila University’s Toushin brings fandoms together this month of February with an engaging series of weekly open talks and workshops about Japanese Pop Culture called Fandom February 2022, live online every Friday.

Toushin opens up to let people teach and present the knowledge they’ve picked up and learned from their time in various cultures, hobbies, and fandoms. Places that can be defined as homes where love and passion thrive. We do this in the hope of promoting and educating others about Japanese pop culture. Toushin has had a history of hosting face-to-face physical talks before with resource speakers about Japanese pop culture inside Ateneo de Manila University, usually involving either Toushin staff or professors from the Ateneo Japanese Studies Program. Because of the pandemic, it has limited their availability to accomplish this and so came up with the concept of Fandom February to fill the gap left behind by the lack of presentations regarding Japanese pop culture.

This will be a month-long event with talks and workshops held every week which will be done via Zoom and live streaming. If you are interested, you can sign up to attend here: https://fanfeb.toushin.moe/ . This event is open to all, for free.
