Happening four whole glorious days of book extravaganzas on September 15-18, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Manila International Book Fair 2022, organized by Primetrade Asia, Inc., promises to be one of the best ever with lots of activities and attractions in store for everyone.

In its illustrious and storied history more than 40 years in the making, MIBF has continually become the vanguard of the Filipino’s love of books as it has presented and delivered the most numerous and most diverse collection of literary works, books, magazines, comics, educational aids, and allied materials. Book lovers continue to flock to the event in droves, reaching 160,000 at its last live event in 2019. After all, MIBF is not only for bookworms and writers, but it is also there for hobbyists, enthusiasts, artists, and much more.

And this year, MIBF will be presenting over 50 fascinating events that attendees will be sure to appreciate, featuring events about the business side of publishing and bookmaking, as well as for the consumer side which would include book signings to product demonstrations.

Catch the latest titles and exclusive discounts, as publishers and distributors’ printing and import calendars happen around MIBF. Attendees will get to see the latest titles for their collections and libraries on the exhibition floor. You can purchase these titles at MIBF rates as well as hunt for special deals from exhibitors. Many illustrious and legendary literary greats have graced MIBF in the past, like Lualhati Bautista and Ricky Lee, and this year the tradition continues as book signings provide the opportunity for avid fans and readers to interact with their revered authors and have their books signed and dedicated. Book launches are also scheduled, which includes Blood of Shinobi 4 by Pol Medina, Jr., and Zsazsa Zaturnnah sa Kalakhang Maynila.



Besides these, there will be other book events, attendees can also experience storytelling sessions, art workshops, seminars, and many more. MIBF is not only a marketplace for books; it is fantastic place for learning and meeting fellow book lovers.



MIBF also gives the public to gear up to go back to school with its co-located event this year, School World, a one-stop shop for teachers, students, parents, school administrators, young professionals and working adults to shocase a wide selection of products and services as schools transition into new modes of learning in the new normal.
MIBF has always been supportive of independent publishers, and this year they will have a dedicated showcase for the very first time at Indie Village. It will be a special pavilion with independent publishers in the spotlight, with exciting titles including Nick Joaquin’s Rizal in Saga, Charlson Ong’s White Lady, Black Christ (Milflores), Trese comics series and Eliza Victoria’s 17 Prayers to the Many-eyed Mother (Avenida), Emmanuel Barrameda’s Balaguer and Maqueda by Nap I.
