Nostalgia never seems to go out of style and out of date because collectors, hobbyists, fans and enthusiasts from all over once again gathered at the Hub of Iconic Memorabilia, RetroCon 2022. The live return of the iconic retro event brought the past to the present last November 23 to 30, 2022, at the Activity Center of Fisher Mall in Quezon City. Vintage toys, collectibles, comics, memorabilia, games, art from many interests and fandoms and more were on prominent display and sale.
At the heart of Retro Con was the nostalgia and longing of the many wonderful and unique things that made past years memorable. Vintage toys, trinkets, antiques, curiosities, collectibles, comics, memorabilia, games, art from many interests and fandoms were on display by the many booths and exhibitors present for the event. One could have the pleasant experience of browsing through the many displays and get their fill of nostalgia to keep and even take home.
Besides the huge and hearty trip along memory lane, Retro Con 2022 upped the love for pop culture as it gave cosplayers the spotlight as Guitar Apparel 1960 presented the RETRO CON Cosplay Competition. This was a highlight of the incredible festivities at the Activity Center of Fisher Mall in Quezon City. Cosplayers from across different categories like cloth and armor came to compete as they displayerd their skills, talents and colorful costumes to the judges and to the crowd that had gathered to take part in the event. The deserving winners got to take home huge cash prizes from the organizers, and they also received the admiration of the people gathered there.
Gracing the event was talented actress, singer/songwriter, gamer and the iconic Myrtle Sarrosa who got to promote Guitar Apparel to the ecstatic audience, as well as giving star power to the cosplay competition at Fisher Mall.
All in all, Retro Con was a fun and engaging event that brought hobbyists and enthusiasts from different fandoms together while bring elements of the past and present for the enjoyment of everyone.
