It was a sensational celebration for consummate collectors to the most frenzied fans as the summer collectible convention of the year proved to be a big hit with the hobby community. Collectors Fest Manila was an extravaganza of collectibles and a whole lot more last April 27 and 28, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center Manila. From toys, to figures, to exclusive merchandise, to art and everything in between, everything was up for grabs and for enjoyment at this incredible festival of hobbies and interests.
Collectors Fest Manila, organized by Collective Base in partnership with Ozine Events, has been having pop-up events all over the metro to build up to their main event last April 27 and 28, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center Manila. Collectors Fest Manila got to feature the best and hottest in figures, comics, toys, collectibles, merch, art and other creations from some of the most talented creators and artists in the world, along with insightful and fascinating workshops, interviews and live auctions with the likes of Creon Chkn , The Art of Wetworks , AKI, Pockets Fulla Pillz, Harvey Tolibao, Mr. Kumkum, VYNC, Winnieyippie , IKY, and Sskait.
Collectors Fest Manila also got to feature exhibitors, attractions, games, contests, auctions, raffles, and activities about anime, Kpop, J-pop, and cosplay art, and toys, making for a fun and inclusive event for a wide variety of fandoms, with a lively program led by exceptional hosts Shion and Degu.
One of the highlights of Collectors Fest Manila was the Cosplay Contest which saw over 30 very talented competitors showing off their unmatched skills and incredible costumes with equally spectacular performances on stage. With huge cash prizes at stake, special guest cosplayers and judges Charess and Lia Bear had a challenging time picking out the winners.
And of course, arkadymac.com was there for our beloved community of cosplayers, who got to enjoy the event and had memorable photoshoots, had their photos taken by attendees and fellow cosplayers, and had fun in the company of people with the same fandoms, and we’d like to feature some of them here.
We also got to see our friends from Paravox, an exciting new game. Paravox is a 3-on-3 third-person shooter set in a futuristic world that combines high-speed character control with intense competitive play. Players can pick from different weapons based on their brands and challenge other players in area-style maps. They were at the event to introduce Paravox to new gamers.
Collectors Fest Manila turned out to be the engaging and inclusive event that the many hobbyists and collectors in the community that have been waiting for, and it definitely didn’t disappoint as the biggest collectible convention this summer. With its stunning success, the organizers, Collective Base, in partnership with Ozine Events, have already hinted a sequel by next year.
