Pampanga became the center of pop culture for an entire weekend as CCX – Clark Comic Expo brought fandoms and communities together in grand fashion last June 29 and 30, 2024 at the scenic Clark Cityfront Mall. While showcasing the best in celebrities, entertainment and attractions, its family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere makes it stand apart from other events, and has made it memorable for attendees of all ages.
Making a big splash on the pop culture, cosplay and hobby scene in Pampanga and beyond, CCX – Clark Comic Expo made headlines as it brought in illustrious guests who have been part of the cast of Voltes V: Legacy. Martin del Rosario, who played Prince Zardoz, and Liezel Lopez, who played Zandra, delighted fans with their appearance on Day 1 of the event, along with meet and greet sessions, with Voltes V: Legacy merchandise made available at the GMA Store.
Also headlining CCX were outstanding cosplayers Pomponmy and Sam Mi who delighted fans of cosplay and attendees with special appearances, meet and greet sessions, and judging the contests. Fans also got to view and purchase their fantastic merch at their respective booths.
Among CCX’s engaging attractions were a fully booked vendor, artist, and merchant gallery that displayed and offered unique merchandise, captivating art, exclusive collectibles, cosplay and fashion accessories that one won’t find anywhere else. There were also excellent toy and figure displays that showcased the skill and care of the local hobby community.
A great variety of of card game, board game and video game tournaments and exhibitions gathered their vibrant communities together for hours upon hours of friendly and competitive action.
The program started with the Cosplay Parade with attending cosplayers strutting their stuff and showcasing their colorful and fantastic costumes as they went around the mall, much to the enjoyment of Clark Cityfront Mall’s patrons.
Dynamic performances from guest performers made for an enjoyable program throughout the weekend.
The most-awaited highlights of each day were the Kids and Adult Cosplay Competitions that brought together gather eager and talented cosplayers onstage for a grand display of skill and creativity. Any cosplayer was open to join and they took the opportunity to show the audience how fun and challenging cosplay can be, with esteemed judges including our Media Correspondent Vanessa tasked to determine those who have done exceptionally well.
And of course, arkadymac.com was there for the beloved community of cosplayers in Pampanga and beyond. They got to enjoy the event and had lots of pictures with mall goers, attendees, and fellow cosplayers.
CCX proved itself to be a fun, enjoyable and memorable event that brought the many colorful and vibrant fandoms and hobby communities together in a friendly and accommodating atmosphere that allowed attendees to be free to be themselves and share their passion with others.
Congratulations to Pampanga Pop Culture Convention and Secret Base Cafe and everyone who made CCX possible for a successful event, and they have already announced that more events like CCX are already in the pipeline so let’s make sure to wait for those.
