Taking inspiration from a star festival in Japan, Otaku Expo Pre-Tanabata Festival 2024 took avid fans on a celebration last July 20-21, 2024 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Activity Center. The event was an exciting preview of the brand’s yearly celebration coming this August 31 to September 1 at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall. With a lot of attractions, guest performers, games and contests spread all throughout the weekend, Otaku Expo Pre-Tanabata Festival 2024 gave the community a reason to gather and have fun with their fandoms.
As one of Ozine Fest’s much-awaited events, Otaku Expo Pre-Tanabata Festival allowed attendees to experience a tanabata-themed affair with decorations and a festive atmosphere, with lots of freebies and goodies given away. There were also numerous merchants that offered the merch, toys, art, collectibles, crafts, and accessories from all fandoms for attendees to browse and purchase to their hearts content. there were also exhibitors promoting the latest apps and games with prizes to be won.
Fun and engaging activities like the Cosplay Competition, Singing Competition, stage games and auctions were available for attendees to participate in and enjoy, led by the very lively and capable host, Degu.
Stellar performances from brilliant guest performers livened the event with engaging music and cheers from the crowd.
Otaku Expo Pre-Tanabata Festival was an enjoyable event for the community, and served as a exciting lead-up for Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival 2024, happening on August 31-September 1, 2024 at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall, featuring special guests including Kris Rey, Lia Bear, Momo and Mon.
