Hearing his voice and feeling his passion first hand was one of the highlights of the JAM Concert last March at Cosplay Carnival 2026, and Who-ya Extended did not hold back as he performed in front an appreciative Filipino audience. Brash, frenetic yet charismatic, Who-ya Extended would leave a lasting impression on his fans, and our website was fortunate to have had the opportunity to have an interview with this sensational artist.

Who-ya Extended is the musical artist who led the band that made its major debut with the opening theme for the hit anime series PSYCHO-PASS 3, “Q-Vism”. The group garnered worldwide recognition with “VIVID VICE,” the opening theme for the second cour of the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen, and continued to produce songs that showcased their dynamic, versatile sound.

At Cosplay Carnival 2026, he had special appearances, engaging stage interviews and unforgettable performances at the JAM Concert. Members of the media got to opportunity to learn more about her, and our Correspondents Zuzu and Marivic got to ask her a few questions.

We got to ask him who have been his musical influences as he was growing up? He replied that “From growing up, my mom specifically loved Linkin Park, so I also grew up to love music.”

Our next question was how did he feel when his songs were used for popular anime like PSYCHO-PASS and Jujutsu Kaisen? He told us that “I actually grew up reading the weekly Shonen Jump manga. I also grew up watching a lot of anime. So when these anime came out, like first episode, first broadcast, I was very happy of course. But at the same time, I cannot believe it was reality. So it’s kind of still a shock.”

Our final question was what have been his favorite inspirations for his musical creativity? He answered that “I actually like rock, but at the same time, I don’t decide if I like or hate a particular genre of music. I try to listen to all and to all of them. If it’s an inspiration, perhaps that would be it.”

Who-ya Extended is certifiably a stellar artist who we will be sure to continue supporting and we hope he will get to perform again in the country in the future.

Our gratitude to Cosplay.ph for this unbelievable opportunity to get to know more about Who-ya Extended and to share it to our readers. Many thanks as well to our Correspondents Marivic and Zuzu for conducting the interview for us.
