Taking inspiration from a star festival in Japan, Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival 2026 will be treating its thousands of avid fans on a celebration this coming August 8 and 9 at the Megatrade Halls SM Megamall. With an entrance fee of only Php 299, attendees will get to enjoy lots of attractions, guest performers, special guests, games and contests spread all throughout the weekend, giving the community a reason to gather and have fun with their fandoms.
Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival 2026 will feature a lot of the community’s beloved activities, games and contests. Attendees can enjoy .Goldfish Scooping, the Wish Tree, and other fun games inspired by the Tanabata celebration. The event will also feature exciting stage programs such as the Battle of the Bands, Otaku Singing Contest, Kimono Cosplay, and one of our most anticipated crowd favorites—the Cat & Dog Cosplay Competition, where adorable furry companions take the stage in creative costumes.
Otaku Expo has also invites an impressive roster of guest cosplayers from around the world for special appearances and meet and greet sessions, which include Knite from Australia, Chaeeun and Moiichan from Thailand, and our very own Jane Yu, Eri, Pomponmy, Roxanne Kho, and Zackt.
