Already on its sixth successful edition, Cosplay Camp: Absolute Cinema got to draw in huge crowds of avid cosplayers and revelers as it celebrated the magic of the silver screen last August 21-23, 2026 with family-friendly entertainment, exhibitors and attractions for free at Festival Mall.

Cosplay Camp has been a series of free, casual, and community-centric events where attendees and mall patrons could enjoy cosplay parades, cosplay contests, games, auctions and so much more for free. Cosplay Camp: Absolute Cinema was a special edition that celebrated the wonders of movies, film and cinema and its influence on pop culture, cosplay and fandoms.

Cosplay Camp: Absolute Cinema had its campers explore its cinematic campgrounds filled with a multitude of exhibitors and booths and let them scout for unique merchandise, captivating art, exclusive collectibles, cosplay and fashion accessories, like our friends from T-Tees, with amazing booths from co-presentors Ito En, Brother International Corporation, also from DITO Telecommunity.

There were lively and colorful Cosplay Parades on Days 2 and 3 to showcase the talent and energy of our community. Having the feel of a movie premiere, they were the perfect opportunities for cosplayers to be stars of the show with their amazing costumes to the public and have their photos taken all around Festival Mall and have fun with their fellow cosplayers.

Seasoned host Kenkoy led the festivities at Cosplay Camp which featured enjoyable activities like Ready Set Auction, Scene Zone, The Big Pictures, and raffles from DITO, which delighted the audience.

Two new cosplay contests, Cinematic Cosplay: Fantasy Epic and Cinematic Cosplay: Summer Blockbuster, drew in new and seasoned cosplayers to perform on stage to the delight of con-goers and mall patrons. Competitiors got to have fun and perform in a supportive and festive atmosphere. Winners got to take home amazing prizes.

Co-presentor Hobby Kaikan had engaging features on stage to share the latest in hobbies. Hobby Kaikan is where tabletop gaming, pop culture, toys, and collectibles enthusiasts come together, located at the 3rd floor East Wing of Festival Mall. Hobby Kaikan features Collector’s Cabinet Showcases, Shared Co-playing space, Tabletop Gaming Tournaments and Hobby Workshops for fans, gamers, and collectors.

Cosplay Camp was a laid-back yet fun experience.for the community. With hundreds of cosplayers in attendance over the weekend, the event was a great success in providing the community a fun and pleasant venue for fans, families, and enthusiasts to enjoy their hobbies together with like-minded people who share the same passions. We certainly hope to see more Cosplay Camps soon.
