
Going strong on its fourth phenomenal year, Philippine GameDev Expo was back and brought its many thousands of fans and attendees an incredible experience that highlighted the talent, creativity, culture, and connections of local communities. PGDX 2026 spanned three incredible days last July 24–26, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila and was its biggest and most exciting edition yet with new experiences that celebrate gaming, creativity, esports, and the continued growth of the game development industry in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.

PGDX once again catches the imagination of industry, academics, gamers, cosplayers and fans alike as it successfully delivered another thrilling experience of gaming, tech, cosplay, pop culture, hobbies, and everything in between. Attendees got to enjoy brand-new attractions, competitions, and collaborations designed for gamers, developers, creators, and fans of all ages.






On celebrating its fourth fantastic year, PGDX has reached an important milestone as an event that is a part of the 2026 ASEAN Chairship Side Events Calendar, showcasing the phenomenal growth and increasing prominence of the Philippine gaming and game development industry. This affirms PGDX’s ongoing commitment to highlighting Filipino talent, promoting creativity and innovation, and providing opportunities for game developers, creators, publishers, and industry professionals to connect and exchange ideas.

PGDX 2026 proudly supports the local game development ecosystem while fostering meaningful engagement with the broader Southeast Asian gaming community, cementing its role as a premier gathering for the Philippine gaming industry, celebrating local talent while encouraging collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across the region.

Earnestly pushing game development to the forefront, PGDX has showcased a dynamic and entertaining lineup of activities and exhibitors to reflect this goal, which included Indie Game All Stars, Tito Gaming Zone, the Athena Cup x PUBG MOBILE Collaboration, and a spectacular cosplay competition.






Gamers from all over were at PGDX 2026 and came in droves for the games, and course, and the event did not disappoint as the Expo Floor was filled to the brim with the most fascinating exhibitors that invited attendees to explore the latest in games, technologies, gadgets, peripherals, services, and merch, offering free games, demos, samples and many freebies. To the delight of its attendees, the event also featured game showcases from local and international developers, hands-on game demos, industry workshops and talks, creator meet-and-greets, Esports tournaments, exclusive merchandise, and varied community activities.

And as its three thrilling days finally ended, PGDX 2025 once again proves that it was more than just an expo. PGDX has become one of the biggest celebrations of everything that brings the Philippine game development community and many other hobby communities with expanded regional participation together, and that is definitely no small feat. We once again commend the organizers for a job well done as we already await their future endeavors, as well as to everyone who took part in making the event a reality.
