arkadymac.com is ecstatic to be the official media partner for the Best of Anime/BoA Summer Live event, and more so when we got to be chosen to do the official photography/videography for the UchuSentai:NOIZ Meet and Greet session held Last May 3, 2014 at The Pad by Padi’s Point at the SM Mall of Asia Bayside. Avid fans turned up despite the sweltering summer heat for the opportunity to meet the band live and share some interesting moments with them. We had our coverage partner Jillian do the reporting for us and our lead photographer Bryan taking the photos and videos of the event.
The band had just concluded a rousing performance the night before at the Best of Anime Summer Live. Everyone was on their feet during the concert. UchuSentai:NOIZ lived up to their reputation of being a very exciting and charismatic band, and the audience was always clamoring for more. BoA Summer Live didn’t coddle or hide their international guests like what other conventions did. UchuSentai:NOIZ was there mixing it up with the crowd, diving into them, shaking hands and going face-to-face with them as they performed their great OPM covers and their own set of original songs. By the end of the performance, everyone was thrilled and glad to have become part of that amazing experience.
The meet started early in the afternoon with the entry of UchuSentai to the cheer and delight of the Space Babies–their fans. They promptly introduced themselves. Angel Taka (vocals), Kotaro (guitar), Kyo (bass), Masato (guitar/vocals), and Yamato (drums) were met with greeting from fans as they addressed them individually. Questions from the media and their fans were entertained, and interesting answers followed, giving everyone unique insight into the inner workings of the group. Personal questions were asked as well and these were also met with amusing answers.
Then came the autograph signing where fans got to have their authentic UchuSentai:NOIZ merchandise signed by the band members. Fans also got to have their keepsakes and memorabilia of the band signed, much to their delight. Our partner Jillian didn’t pass up this opportunity of course and had her new phone cover autographed.
The fans were all thrilled to have the picture-taking opportunity with the band, and who wouldn’t? They made the most of the opportunity, some a bit more than others, but it was all fun as they enjoyed this rare opportunity.
The band also announced the imminent release of their new album of Pinoy songs and invite everyone to watch out for it. After the Meet and Greet, they had their final words and thanks to the still-ecstatic fans. Everyone had a wonderful time with each others company at this successful event. UchuSentai:NOIZ will then be flying off to Mindanao for the Davao leg of BoA Summer Live and to give their fans there a summer party they will be sure to remember. Until they come back, you’ll be sure that all of us will be waiting.
