Cosplayers got to showcase their talents while giving to a worthy cause last weekend at Cosplay Christmas Giving 2015 held at Playland and at Fisher Mall. As part of a modelling and entertainment event which featured celebrities and up-and-coming models and performers, cosplayers helped make lots of people smile and feel the spirit of the season.
arkdymac.com is the exclusive media partner for this event, and with us on our coverage was our Correspondent Nicki and friend Yuuko from Talking Apples. Serving as our host for this event was cosplayer, model and performer Lou.
A part of the proceeds would be donated to give hope and happiness to the children of Tahan-Tahan and Childhauz Foundation just in time for Christmas, so the cosplayers were doubly motivated to take part in this affair.
Before the program proper, we got to shoot at Playland, one of the sponsors for the event. Playland is a great place for family and friends to have fun, and has been supportive of the community as well. With attentive and courteous staff to assist us there, we had a very great time.
Playland is a huge family entertainment center with an area of 2,000 square meters, making it one of the biggest indoor arcades in the country which caters to a wide range of age groups who want to play and have fun. With three levels housing an amazing assortment of games and rides, it was a perfect location for an event.
Then came the fashion show later that afternoon. Cosplayers got to open the affair and warm up an appreciative crowd gathered at the event center of Fisher Mall. They got to show off their stuff as they did their catwalk and presentation.
It was a fresh experience for the participants as they said it was the first time taking part in a fashion/modelling event and that they were glad to be able to help out for a good cause.
