A unique take and discussion on the local pop culture scene will be put under the spotlight as UP AME presents “Conflux: A Forum on Anime and Pop Culture in the Philippines,” at the Pilar Herrera Hall, UP Diliman, on March 22, 2018 from 1 to 5 pm.  This is the chance for avid fans, attendees, cosplayers, and budding organizers to learn more about how all these pop culture come together.

Invited to the forum are key figures in the local events scene:
Mr. Robert Wong, director and co-founder of Cosplay.ph
Mr. Brian Nicole Uy, Executive Director of FurryPinas
Mr. Timothy Cabotage, co-founder of Yaoi Expo
Mr. David ‘Shen’ D’Angelo, PR and Events for Naruto Cosplayers Pilipinas
There will also be a special lecture from Ms. Krinkle Yap, graduate of BFA VisComm and BA Art Studies in UP Diliman.
The University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts is the first anime-oriented organization in the Philippines recognized by a university, and they are inviting everyone to come, sit, learn and discuss this interesting facet of out community.
