Fun, engaging, spooky, flamboyant and everything in between, Kontrabida Ball 2 certainly made good on its promise of a Halloween party like no other. With lots of special guests, great attractions, food and drinks, music and awesome company, Kontrabida Ball 2 definitely was the cosplay community’s best ghoulish get-together of the year.

Following a ghoulishly fun and fantastic inaugural event last year, Kontrabida Ball once again took guests on a wickedly unique experience as no other local event has done before.  it was an even more engaging and immersive experience this year for this villains-themed 18+ Halloween party that specifically caters to anime fans, cosplayers, and gamers, as it offered a very different experience from the usual convention scene, rocking the night away of October 13 2018, Saturday, at One Café and Events Place, One Corporate Center in Ortigas, Pasig City.

As a celebration of all things wicked and weird, Kontrabida Ball 2: Happily Never. After was a gathering of some of the most interesting misfits in cosplay, alternative lifestyle, and entertainment.  Who knew introverts and geeks could be so fab?  Everyone was dressed to kill (figuratively) that night, coming in with their best OOTDs and cosplays that would put any Hollywood shindig to shame.

Kontrabida Ball 2: Happily Never After was a grown-up kiddie party featuring a cocktail dinner buffet, an open bar of unlimited shots, games, live musical and theatrical performances, and great entertainment from partner communities like Burlesque PH and the Philippine Gothic and Lolita Community.  It was crazy, manic, theatric, with everyone having a great time with kindred souls.

Gracing the night were many special guests from the cosplay community, along with the “Four Horsemen” of Philippine Cosplay: Alodia Gosiengfiao, Ashley Gosiengfiao, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Liui Aquino seen together on one stage for the first time, delighting everyone in attendance as they addressed the crowd and helped judge and award the cosplay and OOTD contest.  This year’s best cosplay went to Zack Tolosa with his spot-on stunning cosplay of Edward Scissorhands.

And even after the awarding, the party was just getting started as the floor was opened for dancing, which wildly continued till early morning, everyone enjoying themselves as this rare once a year cosplay rave party.

Congratulations to everyone at BoxFive Productions and all of the people involved in making Kontrabida Ball 2 the huge success that it was.  Thank you for throwing the community one great party to remember.
