Being one of the biggest Esports events in the Philippines for the second year in a row is no easy feat, yet Globe Conquerors Manila 2019 proved that only the sky was the limit when it came to pleasing a huge and solid Filipino gaming community as it pulled out all the stops last weekend at the World Trade center in Pasay City. arkadymac.com has been Globe Conquerors Manila’s media partner for the second year in a row, and we are glad to bring you our coverage of this unforgettably exciting event.
The thousands of avid gamers and attendees go to enjoy the many attractions that Globe Conquerors Manila 2019 had to offer on site. Huge statues and replicas, photo booths, a VR booth and exhibitor areas were a hit to guests and made for many social-media-worthy moments.
With over 3.5 million pesos in prizes at stake among the many competitions and contests at the event this year, Globe Conquerors Manila 2019 has certainly established itself as one of the grandest and most generous esports spectacles ever. Taking up the lion’s share of prizes was the SEA Invitational 2020, an intense tournament among the best League of Legends esports teams in the region. After a grueling tournament, our country’s Team Liyab wins 3-0 against SteelWolves Gaia in the finals to claim the 1-million-peso grand prize.
And of course we were there for the cosplay, and we are very grateful to Globe Conquerors Manila for always supporting cosplay at their events, with the very flashy Cosplay Clash Competition showing off the best LoL cosplayers battling it out through extraordinary performances. Named champion was Team Nawat, taking home 80,000 pesos in prizes.
And all throughout the weekend we saw a lot of LoL cosplayers making their rounds at the venue, sharing their love of the game with other attendees. Among them are our Cosplay Models Kuini, Keileen and Ashley, who truly love the game and Conquerors itself.
All in all a spectacular event worth of its legacy, Globe Conquerors Manila 2019 will be remembered for a long time as it delivered on its promise of being a truly extreme Esports experience as we already look forward to next year’s edition.
