Cosplayers from all over the country missed attending live events where they can have fun and show their love for cosplay, which was why they were enthusiastic in attending Cosplay Carnival 2022 last April 30 and May 1, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia. These cosplayers brought their best costumes and props as they shared with the crowd and with each other the fun and pleasure that their hobby brings, and we admire them all for their passion.
In the course of our coverage of Cosplay Carnival 2022 as official media partner, the arkadymac team wishes to make special mention of some of the cosplays that caught our attention.
Hu Tao
This cosplayer literally walked in the convention with mesh lenses which hindered sight. Aside from the complete getup, this costume made fans of the game Genshin Impact happy to see their prankster pyro.
Black Lobelia
This lady had all the confidence to go around the halls with a daring outfit, and we applaud that! This seems practical, as it was 29 to 33 degrees Celsius in those days.
Komi Shouko
This cosplayer genuinely completed her costume. From the ears that magically appear when Komi-san shows feelings, to the leather bag, and even the dark brown school shoes.
Tartaglia Childe
What can I say, this “child” (pun intended huhu) had a complete costume, and the make-up was on point. They even added a phone—you should try pulling for him next (if Childe hasn’t come home to you yet).
Shizuku Koroe
Go watch My Dress-up Darling and see how much this cosplayer looked like she popped out of the eroge Marin Kitagawa likes, and into the convention.
Kamisato Ayato
Another Genshin Impact cosplayer, but this person really put an effort in their make-up style to present the character, not to mention the hassle of the costume itself on those days.
Temari
Yo, it was really that hot in Manila. Temari brought a big fan to help.
Ainz Ooal Gown
I can imagine how difficult it must be to walk around the mall wearing this. Kudos, you embodied him as if you actually came from the anime and was then isekai-ed to the Philippines.
Barbatos
I actually heard that this cosplayer was having some kind of doubts and body dysphoria, but let our team assure you, your cosplay rocks! Everyone enjoyed having seen a Barbatos in the con and not just the usual Venti.
Rosaria
Those boots must’ve hurt your feet being worn all day, but your dedication to cosplay and detail makes it all worth it!
Mikasa Ackerman
This cosplayer completed the armor, the gears, and even the thunder spears. They’re definitely ready to take on titans, and whoever is going against Eren.
Denji
The attire itself may seem simple, but the amount of work put into that craft to make the costume believable was meticulous. I applaud you for getting through the day with this costume.
Mina Ashido
Wearing face and body paint in this scorching weather and in the jam-packed con? Not a problem, because Pinky’s quirk, Acid, gets secreted from her body.
Riddle Rosehearts
Good thing y’all followed the rules, or else this Riddle would’ve punished you. Kidding aside, wearing something layered, with a cape, and those accessories, it’s amazing how close this cosplayer got to the real Riddle.
Kagamine Rin (Daughter of Evil)
From the craft to get all the details to life, to bringing this character to Cosplay Carnival, this is definitely one dedicated cosplayer.
