On its fifth fan-tastic year, ACX: Anime and Cosplay Expo 2022 brought fans of anime, cosplay and music together at SMX Convention Center Manila last July 16 and 17, 2022 for an exceptional experience as different fandoms collide for extraordinary attractions and entertainment.

Ever since its inaugural event back in 2016, ACX has always been a hit for fans as it continued to provide them with a venue to truly share and enjoy their fandoms in an environment that fosters and nurtures their varied and colorful passions for anime, cosplay, art, and music.

At the center of the celebrations was the lively and engaging stage program let by the sensational hosts: Jillian, Fatima and Kenkoy, who got to connect with the audience as they presented a jam-packed program on both days bursting with fun and entertainment, with fun and exciting contests and games that the community has steadfastly supported and loved throughout the years, like the live return of Cosplay Karoke Encore, Solo Cosplay Catwalk, as well as Cosplay’s Got Talent, where the top placers get to be the front act for the international artists at Cosplay Mania this October. Community-centric games like Fan-tac-tic and Scene Zone meanwhile challenged the audience with fan-centric challenges.

ACX was also proud to present their extraordinary guest cosplayer, XiaoYukiko, who has a massive following of over 1.4 million fans across the world on social media, making her one of the most influential cosplayers in Singapore and the SEA region. She had stage interviews and a special performance on stage to the delight of her Filipino fans, as well as judging two Cosplay Competitions. She also had Autograph Signing and Photography Sessions at the CosShoppe booth, where fans got to interact with her and meet one of the most accomplished and most talented cosplayers in the world.  We’d like to thank Kinz for his wonderful shots of XiaoYukiko at ACX 2022.

Aside from the wonderful sponsors booths that gave lots of freebies, demos and prizes, ACX was also an extravaganza to satisfy the fans’ need to shop for all the merch they miss so much, with over 120 booths and exhibitors to enjoy to their heart’s content.  It’s was a huge sale to stock up on all the wonderful anime merch, toys, collectibles and cosplay and fashion accessories you can’t just find anywhere else.

Cosplay.ph President Pablo Bairan also came out on stage to announce the first batch of special guests at Cosplay Mania 2022 and they are Thames Malerose and Onnies from Thailand and Yosuke Sora from Singapore, which was met with much delight from the audience. The release of the silver tckets for Cosplay Mania was also announced, and within hours, the first tier of tickets was sold out.

And of course, arkadymac.com was there for the cosplayers, and there definitely a lot of wonderful cosplays all over the venue that showed the love and dedication that cosplayers have for their craft and passion. They got to enjoy having their pictures taken as well as enjoying taking photos with each other.

With the numbers of attendees limited through the restricted sales of tickets which have sold out weeks before, attendees had an enjoyable experience without the crowding. With the many attractions and entertainment, most have remarked of a enjoyable experience. We then look forward to the organizer’s biggest upcoming event and the biggest cosplay and J-culture event in the Philippines, Cosplay Mania!

Many thanks to our Correspondent Jane and our Photographers Marvin, Mat, Jake, Keileen and Videographer Holland. Special thanks to Kinz for his great shots of XiaoYukiko.
