With the most sincere hopes and dreams of connecting fans with their beloved idols, Cosplay Up! 2024 was a sensational celebration to the many fandoms from all over last February 23 to 25, 2023, at Starmall EDSA – Shaw. Bringing together guest cosplayers, performers, artists and Vtubers from all around the world along with a fascinating line-up of activities, this year’s Cosplay Up! truly was engaging and memorable event for fans by fans.
Building up on the success of two very memorable editions of their well-received fan-centric events, Cosplay Up! makes its return at a bigger venue and now running over three days. Organized by One Final Dream, an ardent cosplay fan group which aims to invite cosplayers from all over the world, Cosplay Up has been a cosplayer and fan-centered event that features activities where members of the community can share and show off their talents as well as a venue for fans to meet and get to know more about their idols.
Cosplay Up! 2024 got to feature a lot of fascinating attractions all around its extensive venue which included artist booths offering their own unique merchandise, which included fan art, t-shirts, stickers, and many more., along with exhibitors offering enjoyable diversions and services.
Cosplay Up! definitely loves cosplayers and their idols, and have certainly invited quite a number of prominent cosplayers in the community, giving fans the opportunity to interact and get to know more about their idols from here and abroad at meet and greet sessions and at theri booths, including Nessarose from Malaysia, Yurisa from South Korea, as well as fan favorites like Roxanne Kho and Zackt, AC Cosplay, Yumemii and Diane Sabandeja.
Two separate stages at the VIP Hall and at the event center got to feature numerous engaging activities for everyone, which included special performances, photoshoot sessions, games with the special guests, workshops and demos that appealed to attendees.
One of the highlights of the event was the exciting Cosplay Competition on the second day where the contestants definitely showed their talents and wonderful cosplays in extraordinary performances.
The singing competition happened on the third day where amazing contestants belted it out and gave their best performances to the cheers of the crowd. Impressing both judges and attendees alike was Lia Balagot, winning 3rd place in this year’s Cosplay Up! Karaoke Competition.
Cosplay Up! 2024 has also been known for its immersive and memorable concerts, and this year’s edition was exceptionally spectacular. With powerful performances from esteemed Japanese singer Fukuda Mirai and renowned cosplayer and J-pop cover artist from South Korea, Yurisa, as well as performances by wildly popular Miori Celesta and Hanatan, along with Fishie and Ebi, Lili Ash, and Re:Animus, the concert had the audience ecstatically cheering on their feet for an experience that they won’t soon forget.
With its stellar roster of special guests and proved to be an uplifting experience for the community where guest cosplayers, performers, artists, and their fans can get together for a memorable time with each other’s company in a warm and friendly atmosphere as they share their love for their fandom.
