With a landmark 21 years of continuous excitement and engagement with the community of hobbies and fandoms, TOYCON Evolution 2024 has been a testament to Filipinos’ enduring and timeless love for toys, pop culture and entertainment. This phenomenal achievement has made it an annual spectacle in the Philippine events scene, engaging avid fans and the curious alike last June 14 to 16, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center, showcasing lots of exhibits, attractions, booths, contests, special guests from all over the world and a whole lot more.
This year, highlighting the evolution toys and the experience of creative play, TOYCON continues to be the premier event destination in the Philippines where fans, collectors, creators, and industry professionals gather to share and enjoy their love for all things toys amid much entertainment, attractions and fanfare for an entire weekend.
Through its many years of existence, ToyCon is well recognized as the biggest pop culture convention in the country. With even special significance is that TOYCON celebrates its milestone 21th year as a destination event and one of the longest-running pop culture events in the region. This year, attendees definitely knew where to get their fix for their cravings of toys, pop culture, cosplay, and many other fandoms. TOYCON Evolution 2024 got to showcase an amazing variety of exhibits, exclusive toy product reveals, panel discussions with toy industry experts and celebrity collectors, toy designing workshops, interactive gaming and tabletop tournaments, comics and a vibrant marketplace for all manner of collectibles.
TOYCON Evolution 2024 is an extravaganza of the best toys and collectibles anywhere as it featured the launch of two new toy brands from MNDSTYL and the creator of Funko Pop, as well as the launch of a new Quiccs release of TEQ 63 and Jollibee. Also unveiled were exciting toy exclusives from Solid Toys, RLux Custom, Armored Komodo, Devil Toys, Omo Collectibles, as well as that of over 50 other designer toy artists. Huge toy brands like Hot Toys, Jada, Bandai, PopMart, Funko, Toy City got to present new releases for their avid followers.
This year’s TOYCON was especially star studded with celebrities, artists, creators and media personalities who thrilled attendees all weekend long. TOYCON also went all-out for maximum entertainment with stellar performances from international performers that included Bugvel, Chicken Blow The Idol, Kuroguro, and Tenohira El, Voice Actress and Idol Ai Negeshi. Also revving the crowd with excitement were a number of local idols which included Pastel Mix and Day Night Explorers, and along with local artists G22, the Female Alphas, and I Belong to the Zoo.
We are also grateful that TOYCON has always been supportive of cosplay throughout the years, and TOYCON Evolution 2024 featured the Cosplay KO Competition which presented some of the most talented and skillful cosplayers in the community. Cosplayers, in turn, have always supported TOYCON, coming in droves and featuring mostly Western, comic or toy themed cosplays.
With all these and so many more attractions and activities, TOYCON Evolution 2024 has indeed proven itself more than just a convention. It was a huge celebration of the creativity, innovation, and joy that toys bring to our lives, leaving both attendees and participants with an unforgettable experience.
