It was a huge celebration of geek and pop culture as a multiverse of fandoms collided last February 28 to March 2, 2025 at the World Trade Center for the first-ever Geek+Pop Alpha. Presenting a multitude of activities, exhibitors, contests, performances and special guests, Geek+Pop Alpha got to be a memorable event for the many fan communities in the country.

Starting off as an event for pop culture enthusiasts after the pandemic, Geek+Pop has been holding events all around the metro, bringing exhibitors, cosplay, games, and attractions to even more people. Geek+Pop Alpha has been their biggest event to date, even having such a huge venue like the World Trade Center to showcase all the attractions it had to offer.

Geek+Pop Alpha’s stage showcased its many exciting and engaging performances and attractions all thoughout the weekend. With a seemingly endless stream of KOLs and content creators, idol performances, Tekken and Street Fighter tournaments, the World Cosplay Summit National Finals, had the audience engaged and entranced with the spectacular entertainment.

Of special note was prominent Japanese voice actress Yuko Miyamura who graced the Geek+Pop Alpha stage with her stellar presence.

Another standout feature of Geek+Pop Alpha was its astounding collection of exhibitors, booths and on-site attractions that attracted and catered to the many varied tastes, preferences and fandoms of the attendees. It would seem that whatever the fandoms, whether it be toys, collectibles, cosplay, pop culture, J-culture, music, photography, clothing and apparel like our friend from T-Tees, and games, there was something for everyone to enjoy all three days of the event, making for quite a bustling sight at the World Trade Center.

This got to include the delightful booths of the performers where their fans can interact with them.

All in all, Geek+Pop Alpha was quite the revelation and the event it was building itself to be, a place and venue for pop culture enthusiasts and communities can come together and enjoy the hobbies and passions that they share. Our congratulations to everyone behind Geek+Pop Alpha as we look forward to their future events.
