It was a fun summer adventure for the hobby community as TOYCON Summer Prelude happened at Okada Manila’s Crystal Pavilion last March 29 and 30, 2025. Ushering the start of its 22nd year, the entire TOYCON PH community celebrated an entire weekend of toys, collectibles, hobbies, attractions and special guests from all around the world. Entrance was free for everyone.
As TOYCON’s very first summer event, they went all-out on world-class attractions amid Okada’s stylish venue at the Crystal Pavilion. prominent of course were the over a hundred fascinating exhibitors and booths with the latest toys, figures, collectibles and everything in between.
TOYCON Summer Prelude got to present prominent Sentai celebrities and voice actors from well-loved Japanese shows who went on to show the nostalgia, love, and admiration that Filipinos have for their work and dedication throughout the years.
Fabulous cosplay stars from here and abroad got to show off their skill and talents and joined the festivities with stage segments and meet and greets at their booths.
arkadymac.com’s correspondent Jane Yu and good friend Eri Strawberry were also part of the special guest cosplayers at TOYCON who fascinated fans and cosplay enthusiasts alike on both days.
The TOYCON Summer Prelude stage was also ablaze with sets from local musical performers, as well as exciting onstage games, light saber demonstrations, and engaging panel discussions.
TOYCON Summer Prelude was a great initial event for the year as they push for more fun and engaging events in 2025, with thousands of people taking part in the festivities over the weekend in this incredible summer adventure.
