Everyone in our local cosplay and Japanese pop culture community is pleasantly surprised to find a delightfully cute experience at the heart of the metro at SM Megamall’s Kawaii Festival. Running from September 1 to 18, 2022 at the Mega Fashion Hall, mall patrons can immerse themselves in a variety of experiences from one Sanrio icon to another, from a Sakura-filled Japan transformed into a different season of the year.
An enjoyable and engaging kawaii adventure awaits visitors which includes meet and greet sessions with Sanrio characters, accompanying kawaii eats and treats around the venue, and an interactive Play Zone where the young and the young at heart can enjoy creative activities.
Also made available are absolutely cute merchandise that any fan of kawaii cannot possible miss out on.
And of course, SM Megamall’s Kawaii Festival’s biggest draw is its amazing character displays and attractions. Our cosplay correspondents absolutely love the nice touches; from the sakura trees, tho the character standees, the neon lights, even the tatami- and grass-themed flooring. Everything around the venue makes for a fun and memorable Instagrammable experience. Our members Nina, Lia and Sabthulhu definitely enjoyed our shoot there for this feature. Our Correspondents are all vaccinated and boosted and we shot photos when there were no people nearby.
