Cosplayers Make Special Appearance at Captain America: Civil War Screening
Our arkadymac.com team got to cover a special block screening of the much-anticipated movie Captain America: Civil War, which opened worlwide on April 27. We were particularly interested as our cosplayer friends Fred, Daphne, Izabel, MK, Myk and Veni were there to help promote the event. There was a festive atmosphere that evening at the lobby of Cinema 1 in Trinoma moviegoers and fans celebrated their love for superheroes.

With only a few weeks to go before the biggest pop culture gathering to hit Asia comes to Manila, more celebrity guests have been announced as AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015 continues to send fans into a frenzy as they reveal the latest Hollywood actors to headline the convention slated on September 17 to 20 at theWorld Trade Center in Pasay City. Flying to Manila to spice up the Comicon and to meet his fans is English actor Paul Bettany, whose role as Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, was a big hit to audiences everywhere.

Cosplay Circle First Official Grand Gathering at ToyCon 2015
International online cosplay group Cosplay Circle had its first official grand gathering last weekend at the ToyCon 2015 event at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall in the Philippines. Founded by Alodia Gosiengfiao, Cosplay Circle is a group that fosters acceptance, appreciation and camaraderie for everyone who enjoys and loves cosplay as a hobby and as a passion.
Liui Aquino First Photobook Signing at Cosmic Bytes at O-kun Fiesta
Internationally renowned cosplayer Liui Aquino was at the Cosmic Bytes Cosplay Shop booth last weekend at the O-kun Fiesta event to do autograph signings for his first photobook, Liui Aquino’s Cosplay Journal. Liui has become quite the prominent cosplayer, being invited to many international cosplay and anime events in many different countries because of his splendid cosplays.
Mina Kim: Adventures
After her radio talk show appearance at Radyo Inquirer DZIQ 990 and just before her special guest appearance at Otacon with the arkadymac.com team, Mina went with us on a short detour for a quick shoot at a place she had never been before somewhere south of the Metro. Earnestly curious and inquisitive, she took time off exploring this unique Japanese enclave hidden in the heart of the city. In between snaps she tells us how her life has been one fun and exciting journey since she began cosplaying, with warm and fond memories she’ll keep for lifetime.
