Nyanbu and his friends at the Nakama Cosplay Group help out at an outreach program at St. Andrew’s Parish in Paranaque and had fun with all the great kids they met that day. It was a great opportunity put our cosplaying skills to proper use, as children can better appreciate cartoon characters coming to life, or try anyway. We are humbled that we were able to put a smile or two on the children’s faces as we played games with them, danced with them, took pictures with them, and got to share a simple meal with them. I know what I have done may be a small, almost insignificant gesture, but to able to make a few children smile even for just one morning certainly had a profound impact for me.
My thanks to the Nakama Cosplay Group for this activity and we hope cosplayers can be given more opportunities to be of service to the community.
