Otaku Urule livens up his year’s PUP’s Foundation Week with Japanime, a celebration of Japanese Popular Culture in the Philippines. The event held at the open grounds of the university had a lot in store for everyone, like booths, games, bands, and a cosplay competition. Lots of visitors from all over took part in this amazing event. RG Gamurot, founder of Otaku Urule, said that despite the many difficulties they faced in preparing for the event, they still managed to put on a great show for all of the students of PUP and as well for the many visitor, and thankd the sponsors and all their supporters, without which the event would not have been possible.
The highlight of the event was the Cosplay Catwalk Competition where many cosplayers took part in. They gave a good show to an appreciative crowd as they did skits and stunts and all the other things that make cosplay amazing and fun. Just some of the winners include our friends Kurt Vidallo winning Best Male, Krishna Mallari for Best Female, Markie del Rosario for Best League of Legends cosplay and Christian Umali for Best Mecha.
The program went on late into the night, and as it ended, there were a lot of satisfied visitors and happy guests and a lot of tired but proud Otaku Urule members and staff for having put on such an amazing event. More power to them as they already have plans of staging another grand evbent next year.
Thank you for visiting, and do drop by again for another coverage.
