Real-life couple Kaloy and Doll pose for our cameras for this feature on this edition of arkadymac.com. They’ve only recently become lovers although they have long since enjoyed cosplaying at events, something they really like having in common.
For this feature, Kaloy cosplays Obito Uchiha while Doll takes on the role of Rin Nohara from the anime manga and series Naruto. The romance between the two characters is implied in the story line but they have had a strained and complicated relationship that affects the Naruto universe. Here we present “what might have been” scenes through this couple cosplay.
We shot these on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon at the ever-dependable Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City. It was quite difficult to do shoots as there are many people around so we just had to improvise and make do with what we had. I’m glad I had the assistance of truly reliable friends from Pitik Photography: Shin, Xander, Mike, Portgas, and Knots, who despite a long and tiring day before were still at it doing shoots at the park.
We went all around the park for suitable locations, recounting the craziness of the things that happened the previous night after covering the 1st MyPhone Youth Tech Congress event at SM mall of Asia. Well, Kaloy and Doll had quite some fun, spending time together in cosplay, and with other park visitors taking pics of them and with them throughout the afternoon.
It was an enjoyable day for us with these shots as the fruit of our labors. Hope you enjoy them.
