Ozine Fest 2015 is the biggest Japanese pop culture event this summer, and it opens with much fanfare with the Day 1 press conference and meet and greet sessions with amazing international guest cosplayers Ying Tze and Angie from Malaysia and Tuna from Korea. arkadymac.com is an official media partner for Ozine Fest 2015, so we are happy to bring you scenes from this much-anticipated event.
Our Cosplay Model and correspondent Yanna was there as Kim Possible to help us out with our coverage. She was really looking forward to doing her best to cover her first press conference for arkadymac.com.
The press conference started early noon as the guest cosplayers had finished their preparations and were presented to the media and VIP ticket holders. Everyone was in awe as the guests took to their seats in amazing cosplays. The atmosphere was a bit awkward and tense at first, but eventually everyone settled in to the fun and friendly atmosphere as the greetings and formalities gave way to questions from the media and the VIP ticket holders.
Ying Tze, Angie, and Tuna were forthcoming and candid with their replies to the questions of the audience. They recounted stories from their arrival in the Philippines, like how they got to try the banchetto in Ortigas and tried out the many great food on sale there and how they enjoyed their trip.
There was a bit of a language barrier in the exchanges, but it was overcome with the eagerness of the guests to get their message across, as well as their shared love for anime, manga and games. Everyone got to be friendly and and was in a happy mood.
Our Cosplay Model Yanna got to ask them questions about cosplaying, about how they prepare their cosplays and how they get to enjoy cosplay. From their replies it was clear that they truly love cosplaying, how enjoyed being their favorite characters and bringing them to life and how because of cosplay they got to meet and be friends with so many people from around the world.
After the last questions were asked, we were given the opportunity to have items signed as wonderful remembrances from today’s truly special encounter. They were also gracious having their photos taken, and we are thankful that they have been so nice to have Yanna take a photo with them. They were even prettier up close and so nice and friendly as we got to have a short chat with them.
It was a fascinating experience for us, and we hope that Ying Tze, Angie, and Tuna will make more fans happy as they have their meet and greet sessions in the days to come.
Many thanks to Sir Bryan and Sir Dennis and all the Ozine organizers and staff for making this all happen. Having these wonderful guests truly adds to the excitement of Ozine Fest 2015 as the biggest Japanese pop culture event this summer.
