After a successful film showing of the first part last August 14, 2015, student organization Tomo-Kai from UP Diliman gave ardent Shingeki no Kyojin followers the chance to see its exciting conclusion at the ATTACK ON TITAN: End of the World Block Screening at TriNoMa Cinema 1. There has been lots of excitement and anticipation for the film adaptation of the wildly popular Japanese manga and anime series Shingeki no Kyojin, and local fans got to celebrate as the first part finally got screened in Philippine theaters August, then the much-awaited conclusion last September.
.
arkadymac.com is an official media partner for this special block screening, and helping us cover the event was our Cosplay Model and Correspondent Ami, who was just as excited as everyone to finally get to see how the story ends.
Preparations were underway a couple of hours before the movie began, and UP Tomo-Kai members had already prepared their spot and welcomed early guests outside Cinema 1 of Trinoma.
The lobby was abuzz with excitement as the time of the screening by 7 pm got closer, and more and more ticket holders started falling in line. Tomo-Kai’s marshals were courteous and helpful and the situation at the lobby was orderly though one may notice that the fans were already anxious to get inside and watch the movie.
It was 7 in the evening when the ticket holders were ushered into the cinema. Inside was a booth for anime-themed merchandise. Guests were also given their complimentary snacks and freebies upon entry.
Everyone was guided inside and settled to their seats. Tomo-Kai members put on a short program, starting off by thanking everyone who came, as well as acknowledging their sponsors and partners who have helped them out with the preparation of the event. There was a raffle where lucky ticket holders got to win nice prizes like copies of the Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail manga Filipino edition.
With the program over, everyone was then asked to settle down as the movie started. Cheers were heard as a recap of the previous movie were shown, leading up to the continuation. As to be expected and as with previous block screenings, the fans were really into it; at times they gasped, screamed, and squealed over the many exciting and … interesting … scenes of End of the World. UP Tomo-Kai gave the chance of having an ever better viewing experience by presenting this special block screening as an opportunity to enjoy the conclusion of this epic movie with fellow fans who had the same mindset and feels from the original series.
As the movie ended and the attendees left the theater, Tomo-Kai members were there to thank everyone for coming. The lobby was filled with friends and groups animatedly discussing the film they just watched. Winners from the raffle got to claim their prizes too.
Congratulations are in order to UP Tomo-Kai for delivering another successful block screening as well as a fun and unique experience for everyone. We commend their hard work and tremendous organizational effort. Watch out for more of their events in the future.
