Our arkadymac.com team got to cover a special block screening of the much-anticipated movie Captain America: Civil War, which opened worlwide on April 27. We were particularly interested as our cosplayer friends Fred, Daphne, Izabel, MK, Myk and Veni were there to help promote the event. There was a festive atmosphere that evening at the lobby of Cinema 1 in Trinoma moviegoers and fans celebrated their love for superheroes.
Organized by staff and alumni of St. Luke’s Hospital, the special block screening saw fans from all over lining up for the movie earlier that the announced time. While they were there, they got to see the Avenger cosplayers in action, and the crowd had their opportunity to take photos of them and with them.
The cosplayers also got to help out with the program inside the cinema, as well as with the raffle where some lucky ticket holders got to win some nifty prizes.
Seeing a movie in cosplay may not be the most comfortable way to watch it, but it certainly is an enjoyable experience seeing the character you’re portraying on the big screen.
And after watching a great movie, there were lots of opportunities to have fun too.
